Default Rollerbeetle!

Thats right rollerbeetle soon

I just had one concern... On the game updates notes on the official website, it says this:

'Changed the item boxes in Rollerbeetle Racing to only be collectible once per player.'

Does this mean you can only get 1 BOX THE ENTIRE race??? Or only 1 box at a time? (only 1 power up can be on your skillbar).

Its going to be fun, but i hope they don't make it only 1 box per player per match =(.

It means no more of the box camping nubs who would hog all of the power ups. It also means they can't use them on you while they camp the boxes.

It means no more easy farming 2k Gamer Points per weekend. It also means that Dragon Arena might be a better choice for Gamer Points again.

no more easy farming? lol, maybe you should actually try to be good at the game, and win with skill, not noob box camping.. seriously, the box campers did nothing but ruin the fun for the skilled players when they got double of the best skill on the bar.

QQ no more easy gamer points. Campzoring boxes led to easy wins (consistently 10+ consecutives) and 100+ gamer points per hour. Yes, that was retarded.
At least now it will be much more exciting gameplay, a real race, all about luck and lag ;p
Lag was unfortunately always a major factor in closeup situations, GW engine is really bad for fast paced racing action.
With an average ping of 250 (which may be hard to get during a hot event) you see your rollerbeetle on your screen pretty far ahead of where it really is in game, this causes lots of rubberbanding effects and having Ram skill not hit the rollers you (think) you roll into but mysteriously hit those 5 meters behind you.

This is the best change to a festival EVER.

It almost makes up for the fact that people who were generous with their mini-pigs are getting slapped in the face, and a lot of people won't be getting mini-rats this year.

Almost.

Still, I don't believe this will change the fact that the good racers will still win most of the time and the bad racers will lose most of the time.

So thats why one of the top 25 racers posted a guide about which boxes to camp and where to use the skills when you got them? He also stated how long to wait and camp before it was impossible to win...

there was a guide? ...lawl, but yea its pretty much a science, I spent like 10 matches just learning what to do (making no effort to try and win), learning how to maintain RRPM and such. Although there are 2 racers that know something that I dont know - somehow they manage to subtract like 2.5-3 seconds off their time - and I have no idea how they do it

The box camping thing wasn't a very good way of winning any individual race in the first place. I saw losers do it all the time and most of them came in last or just mapped out. It was aggravating because every now and then you'd be in a race with one of the idiots when they got lucky and they'd ruin it for everyone else.

The only reason they kept doing it was because if you had nothing else to do with your free time (as is the case with most griefers since they're just as unpleasant in person as in a game), you could sit there for hours and, over time, you'd rack up a lot more wins.

Play anyway because it's fun.

Congrats on being a jerk and ruining other people's fun for no good reason. /ignore
